Good morning to our beloved lecturer ‘ Miss Mazliyana Binti Ramli’ and fellow friends….first of all, we would like to thanks Miss Mazliyana Binti Ramli for giving us a chance to deliver our presentation today. Now, I would like to introduce you to my group members.. at my right are,…………………………………………and at my left are…………………………. Our presentation topic for today is about mobile phones.

As we all knows, mobile phones is a device that we can bring anywhere because it is a small gadgets. It has a lot of uses.

A mobile phone allows its user to make and receive telephone calls to and from the public telephone network which includes other mobiles and fixed line phones across the world. It does this by connecting to a cellular network owned by a mobile network operator. A key feature of the cellular network is that it enables seamless telephone calls even when the user is moving around wide areas via a process known as handoff or handover.

The first commercially automated cellular network (the 1G generation) was launched in Japan by NTT in 1979, initially in the metropolitan area of Tokyo. Within five years, the NTT network had been expanded to cover the whole population of Japan and became the first nation-wide 1G network. In 1981, this was followed by the simultaneous launch of the Nordic Mobile Telephone (NMT) system in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. NMT was the first mobile phone network featuring international roaming. The first 1G network launched in the USA was Chicago based Ameritech in 1983 using the Motorola DynaTACmobile phone. Several countries then followed in the early 1980s including the UK, Mexico and Canada. .

The first "modern" network technology on digital 2G (second generation) cellular technology was launched by Radiolinja (now part of Elisa Group) in 1991 in Finland on the GSM standard which also marked the introduction of competition in mobile telecoms when Radiolinja challenged incumbent Telecom Finland(now part of TeliaSonera) who ran a 1G NMT network.
In 2001 the first commercial launch of 3G (Third Generation) was again in Japan by NTT DoCoMo on the WCDMA standard.
One of the newest 3G technologies to be implemented is High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA). It is an enhanced 3G (third generation) mobile telephony communications protocol in the High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA) family, also coined 3.5G, 3G+ or turbo 3G, which allows networks based on Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) to have higher data transfer speeds and capacity.

Now, I would like to call upon my team member, Nur Ezyani Binti Jasni to continue our presention.

Thank you. now I’m Nur Ezyani will continue on the uses of mobile phones. Mobile phones nowadays is an important needs for each person. It has a lot of uses such as we can send short message through short messaging system (SMS), make a call, bluetooth, camera, surf internet, listening to radio or mp3,using global positioning system (GPS) and dictionary. I will explain on short messaging system (SMS), bluetooth, camera and it uses in making a call.. first of all, short messaging system is a system that contained in each mobile phones to enable us sending messages within a short time. Through this system, all the information that we get, it will appear on the screen without hearing the voice of that person. So, the personal data that we get will be secretive and can be knows by mobile phone’s owner only. If we prefer to make a call rather than sending a messages, all we have to do is to make sure that we have the mobile phone’s number of the person. Through the phone call, we can express our emotions such as angry, happy, sad or unsatisfied. The information that we get through the phone will be more detail than through the messages. Sometimes, by using the messaging system, the information that we want to deliver will be analised wrongly. So, making a call is better than just sending the message. For a certain mobile phone, there is one software which is known as bluetooth. By using this software we can share a data, such as photos, musics or anything else which is wireless connectivity. It will ease us to get any data from anyone that have a connection with us just in a short time. Some of the mobile phones also have been provides with the camera. Eventhough the sharpness of it lens are different depends on the models, the function is still the same which is to capture a pictures.

Now, I would like to invite Nurnadiah Fatehah to tell more about the uses of mobile phone.

Thank you. Besides of what have been explained by Nur Ezyani, there are some more uses of the mobile phone. Lately, the technology have been developed dramatically. The things that we never imagined before, can be done easily via using the technologies. For example, we use a books as our reference before this. But nowadays, we can find all the information that we need by just surfing the internet. Besides using a computer to surf the internet, we also can surf it through the mobile phone. This small gadgets will ease us to find the information from the internet where ever that have the access to the internet. so, no matter what we want to search, we can just surf it by using the mobile phones.
Other than that, This gadgets also can help us to find a way of the destination that we do not know by using global positioning system (GPS). We will reach to the destination on time so that it will save our time. Mobile phone also provide an entertainment such as radio,mp3 and mp4. We can be entertained with it while we feel boring.
Last but not least, the uses of the mobile phone is we can use its dictionary. Before this, we can find the dictionary in the form of books only. But now, the dictionary softwares have been install to the mobile phones and can be easily use such as we just insert a word that we did not know the meaning and it will give us its meaning by the time.

Next, I would like to call Mohamad Amin to continue the presentation.

Thank you Nadiah. I will explain on the models of the mobile phones. In our market, there are many types of mobile phone models such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson, LG, CSL, and Samsung. The difference between this models is
