Macbeth
Power and Fate According to Lord Acton, “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” In other word if a person is given any sort of power, they are likely to become corrupt in the area in which they are given power. This quote is correct because people who have total powers, they mostly abuse their power. Macbeth by William Shakespeare supports this position through its use of conflict and symbol, and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice by Walt Disney Studio also validates this interpretation through its own use of climax and symbol. Macbeth by William Shakespeare explains that the quote is correct through its use of conflict and symbol. Conflict is a struggle between two opposing forces. A symbol is something that is used to represent something else. Conflict is the struggle within Macbeth between his ambition and his sense of right and wrong. Symbols is Macbeth’s bloody hand symbolize guilty; the dagger that Macbeth sees just before he kills Duncan. Not only does Macbeth support the quote, but also so does The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice by Walt Disney Studio explains that the quote is correct through its use of climax and symbol. Climax is the highest or most intense point in the development or resolution of something; A symbol is something that is used to represent something else. Macbeth by William Shakespeare shows literary devices and they support my opinion of this quote. One is dramatic irony and it proves this quote true for many reasons. It is true because Lady Macbeth shows betrayal against Duncan, the king of Scotland and Macbeth shows betrayal against all his friend, he was really using them and in the end he killed some of his “friends”. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth wanted to both kill Duncan all along, so they Planned it all out. Betrayal is what happened here, big time. The other literary device from the story that supports my opinion and makes this quote true is, Tradgeic…

Macbeth by William Shakespeare reveals the quote through conflict and irony. Three witches prophesied to Macbeth that he will be king. His first conflict is that he must make a sacrifice. To kill a friend, King Duncan, in order to take the throne. The witches also prophesied that Banquo's sons will be king, thus begins Macbeth's second conflict. He must have his best friend Banquo's son killed in order to protect his throne. These conflicts reveal the quote because killing both King Duncan and Banquo's son is a huge sacrifice. Irony also proves the quote. Before Macbeth even kills Duncan he is given the title Thane of Cawdor, which the one before him was a traitor. This is ironic because later Mabeth becomes a traitor and kills Duncan. The irony in this story reveals the quote because by given the name "Thane of Cawdor" foreshadows that Macbeth will lose his pride and honor.…

The play Macbeth demonstrates that in order to gain that which one truly desires, one must sometimes give up all that we have. One way this is proven is through theme. Theme is the central message revealed through a literary work. For example, the central message in Macbeth is a complex study of man's nature, particularly Macbeth when he is given a piece of information that presents a tremendous temptation. Macbeth kills King Duncan, which is completely against nature and risks his life just to get higher in power. Lady Macbeth risk’s killing her new born son to become Queen. Despite loses; Macbeth still became king and got what he wanted. Both situations given deal with the termination of other life than themselves however their lives will be terminated in the end. This relates to the quote because Macbeth thought he triumphed over everybody and got away with what he done but in the end he doesn’t conquer he gets killed.…

While many directors attempt to follow the original work as faithfully as possible, even in the casting stage they have to make decisions which Shakespeare does not readily provide a “correct” answer to. For example, there is no way to tell from reading the text who exactly the character of Lady Macbeth is. At some point in production it must be decided whether her actor must portray a truly evil character with mental problems, or instead maybe just someone who considered themselves free from morality, only to learn the opposite in the worst way possible. Both methods tell an awesome tale, but a different one. Almost every character a similar decision, and there will always be ways in which a new production will have something entirely different to say from all the other ones, providing evidence to this quotes validity. Obviously, directing this play poses many challenges, but if a director wishes to go above and beyond, he might provide an answer to one or many of the ambiguities which abound in Macbeth.…

This quote was said by Macbeth, before he killed Duncan, and became King. Here Macbeth says “ Chance will have me king, Chance may crown me, without my force”. Macbeth is saying that he will let Chance take its course, instead of him bulging in, knocking on the door and forcibly dethrone Duncan, taking the title as King. The way I see Macbeth's tone when he is say this quote is calm, relaxed, and patient. Overall his tone and his actions appears to be a let nature takes it course. This is also Fair is Foul, because what seems fair for Macbeth and the outcome will be foul. Where everything will come up against him.…
