Life After High School
This is my senior and final year in Osceola High School. After high school is going to be a lot of responsibilities I have to take care of. I remember when I was younger I couldn’t wait till graduating high school, but then I realized there was way more to come after high school. This is the biggest part of my life right now. I have to decide on what college I want to go to and what do I really want to do as my career job. I’m not positive on what I want to major in. There are so many careers to choose from but there are very few I’m interested in. Before my senior year ends I need to make sure I know what I want to go to college for so I can be focused on that one thing. I also have to know which college is best for me to get my education from for my career job. I’ve been talking to my friends and guidance counselors about careers and colleges that might be best for me. But every time we speak I get more confused than I already am about my life after college. So therefore I’m going to have to do research on the best colleges for me and good careers that interest me and be able to support my living. I want my life after high school to be successful. I don’t want to be a person struggling in life having to worry about the next job. That’s why I’m deciding to go to college to get a better education and find a career job that I will have a passion for. Especially the way the economy is right now I think whoever has the opportunity to go to college should take it. If a person graduates high school and doesn’t go to college they won’t be as successful as a person who went to college to get education to better themselves in the long run. By doing this research paper it has me thinking on what I really need to do after high school. This is where I’m going to have to do things on my own. I know it’s going to be hard but I have to stay focused and do what I have to do so I can be a successful person in life.

When I graduated high school I knew I was going to attend college. It wasn’t a question. It was instilled in me as a child that I would be the only one of my siblings to go to school. My brothers would be forced into the military. It was never a desire of mine to attend college. It was more like the expected next step. Needless to say my passion for school was null and void. I attribute my academic standing to this fact. Maybe if I'd thought about what I wanted to do with my life versus just going with what was expected I would've done a little better.…

After completing the survey for my economics course it gave me a career field that I should consider joining based off of my answers to the survey. The field I was given was investigative. I agree with choice because I love to solve puzzles and work with things that makes me have to think to figure it out. Also, the investigative field is a good fit for me because the jobs that are involved in this field involve math which is one of my favorite subjects whether it be engineering or computer programming. Plus, with it being investigative I am not limited by the math field because I could also work in the medical field by being a doctor trying to find a malignant tumor. The two career paths I have decided on that stem from this career category would have to be computer hardware engineer or being a biomedical engineer.…
