How Does Agatha Christie Create Suspense In The Mousetrap
Suspense is one of the styles of writing in literature that is extensively used in Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap. Agatha interestingly marries suspense and the events in the play to produce a fascinating writing. Suspense serves a couple of purposes in any literary writing. Suspense is an aspect of writing where the writer puts the readers of his/her literature in a state of wanting to know what happens next, or what follows after one event. Readers experience a huge excitement and expectation about the ending of a story. Readers are also in doubt about a situation in the story. Suspense is an important ingredient in mystery plays writing as it apprehends the audience’s concentration and creation of mental pictures throughout the play.
