How Boy Scouts Changed My Life
Boy Scouts was in a sense a skeleton key for me. There were endless doors of opportunity that could be opened. I had access to many leadership and volunteer opportunities that I otherwise would not of had. I worked countless hours collecting food and working at the nearby food pantry in Brandon. I worked on projects led by fellow scouts in my troop and picked up trash in the local park in Rosendale more times than I can count. I’ve learned many skills in scouting besides the stereotypical knots and campfires that usually come to mind. I learned leadership skills, public speaking skills.
