Everything Bad Is Good for You

As our lives are getting better and better, more and more entertainment are found by people. Of course, going to see a movie with friends at weekend is a nice choice. People love movies in this century. People love Titanic because of its romantic; people love Transformers because of its fantasy; people love Fast because of its speed. People love those films with their own reasons. However, those films have a thing in common. That is the sex. Sexuality has became a fascinate point in those movies. They are giving teenage the feeling of romantic, passionate and happiness. First of all, sex in movies is romantic. Many people may have seen or heard the movie Titanic. That is a really good movie, which is telling us a love story of Jack and Rose. They don’t know each other until they meet in Titanic. The huge cruises is on its trip with thousands people. Jack and Rose meet in a right time and then they fall in love with each other soon. As their fire of love is burning so hot, they do have sex in the next day after they meet each other. I still remember one dialogue that Rose said to jack. “Jack, slow f**k.” That is real and lifelike. Teenages love those stories. They are easily attracted by each other. They think sex is a sublimation of relationship. So sex is just a normal action in their relationship. This is situation is like motioned in Joyce Garity’s essay Is Sex All That Matters?. 75 percent of Americans have lost their virginity. In many high schools-and an increasing number of junior highs- virginity is regarded as an embarrassing vestige of childhood, to be disposed of as quick as possible. Why do they think so? Because they watch lots of movies like titanic, and they think sex is romantic. Secondly, not only those love story, some child movies are affecting teenagers in the concept of sex. Ratatouille is the story of a French rat named Remy who has unusual instincts for his kind: his senses of taste and smell are especially keen and he develops an ambition to become a great chef. Many children may also have seen this Disney movie. In fact, there’s no sex action in this cartoon movie. But why does it still make an effect on children? Let’s see. After “the first kiss” by accident, we see Linguini and Colette working away in the kitchen and observe a typical scene. Colette has her back to him, intent on her work and we watch as Linguini stares at her body up and down and then finally focusing on her butt. (The “camera” shot makes this clear as there is nothing else on the screen). He further takes surreptitious peeks at her as she walks across the kitchen. Clearly he is attracted to her and cannot keep his mind on his cooking. So, some of these links, such as that between rape and a first kiss or between a furtive look and pornography, may seem a bit far-fetched in the context of a Disney movie. But the fact that they can be identified, no matter how remotely, says something about the way our children are indoctrinated into some negative aspects of our culture at a very early age. These things are so taken for granted in our society that they can be made to seem cute and harmless and completely acceptable. But they are making effect on our young generation. Last but not least, some teenagers may have addiction to sex. Sexuality is a normal physiological need for people. People feel happiness and satisfy while having sex. But, why do teenagers know that? Do their parents tell that to their son or daughter? Sex is so happy? Properly they won’t do that. Teenagers know that in kinds of ways. Movie is one. Many people know that Japan is a country that famous of its AV(adult video) industry. Everyone can catch a sexuality video easily. This kind of video is made simple and they all look the same. Having sex is the main part of the movie. When they are done, the movie is over. The main point of those sex video is to show the happiness of sex. In fact, they do show that happiness. But the wrong thing is they don’t show how to do birth control. Elaine is a girl who only cares the feeling while sex. “Birth control, she finally got out, was “embarrassing.” It wasn’t “romantic.” You couldn’t be really passionate, she explained, and worry about birth control at the same time.” It’s never too late to know birth control before sex. In conclusion, sex is not wrong. But teenagers should have noticed that sex is not only for fun. Sex is not an adequate basic for a healthy. Sex can be meant everything if people take serious. Not all movies are going to teach teenagers use condoms, teenagers should need right guilds. That is the duty of our society.
