Veronica McAleer and the MAKUP Academy for Film & Media Makeup are celebrating a wave of success for recent graduates.

Veronica set up the MAKUP Academy two years ago, to offer high quality, intensive and practical training in all aspects of hair design and makeup for film and TV. All students receive personal attention from award-winning Veronica, who still regularly works as Personal Hair and Makeup Artist to the actor Paul Bettany. Recently, Veronica and successful graduates have been working as part of the core team in the Crowd Hair and Makeup Department on Tim Burton’s live action remake of the classic Disney film ‘Dumbo’, starring Eva Green, Michael Keaton, Colin Farrell and Danny DeVito.

The main themes of the story are family, faith, and hope.
