Donald Trump's Last 100 Days
It’s 11:59 pm and the world is about to mark an important day in history. April 29th is here. It has only been 100 days. But what has happened in these past 100 days has left confusion, frustration and a torn country. History in this case, is hardly defined. News reporters, TV stations, journalists, families and the American people argue whether these first 100 days have been successful or unproductive and irresponsible. As President Trump shoots for par at his private golf course in Florida, taxpayers find their pockets draining 21 million dollars rapidly. But more executive orders than any other president in the past few decades have been passed in the same span of time. Meanwhile, Trump tries to propose a tax plan to eliminate tax breaks, …show more content…
There is no way to know if it will cut spending and depending on who you ask, will give you a different answer to whether or not the retirement 401k accounts will remain exempt from taxes. This contradictory argument is what is hovering over the American people. The confusion is an epidemic and there are strong arguments on both sides. With 100 days to judge, the country is left to argue which side is correct; 100 days successful or not. The inauguration of President Donald Trump took place on January 20th, 2017. This marks a new year, new president, and new hopes for change. What America does not hope for is a confused and more in-debt America. We needed a new presidency to strengthen relationships with our allies, not make our nation seem vulnerable and strengthen terrorist groups. When Trump proposed to replace Obama care, he failed multiple times and his so called “better” for the people plan would only result in lost coverage and extremely pricey medical …show more content…
I am able to view both perspectives and look at how different genders and people of different races view the subject. But, in the end I have formulated my own opinion about President Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office. I believe that Trump is able to keep his campaign promises that are reasonable. His proposed border wall is proven to be ineffective both in keeping illegal immigrants from entering the country and is not cost effective. The postponement of the urgency of this idea shows that he has the potential to admit his wrong doing and move on to think of better solutions. This is progressive. I believe that his efforts with the transgender community and constitutional rights are respectable and the future of America can finally exemplify equality. This potential to Make America Great Again gives me hope that Trump will be able to make a difference. Right now, he may seem like a self-centered businessman, but having a less politically corrupted leader could bring about the needed change. A new personality in the white house has left our nation confused and impassioned. We have become so adapted to the normal political ways that past leaders have gone about handling situations. Donald Trump, in my opinion, is dynamic and tough and is not afraid to make big steps towards what we, the American people, want to see implemented. Even though we are left to contradict each other right now,

While it is clear that Trump and his administration can talk the talk, it is becoming increasingly clearer that he cannot walk the walk. Throughout the last year, Trump and his cabinet redundantly labeled the opioid crisis as their “first priority,” and promised to take significant action, but their actions, or lack thereof, reveal that this label is just an an added element of their mask that provides an illusion of dedication. Despite labeling the opioid crisis their “first priority,” the Trump administration only dedicated a fraction of the available resources available to them to stop the crisis. They also put the opioid crisis on the backburner in favor of other political hot topics, ignoring the largest cause of the accidental loss of life in the country. Instead of promoting legislation that would lessen the loss of life from the opioid crisis, Trump’s budget proposal cut funding for Medicaid, an insurance program that provides treatment for people addicted to opioids.…

On January 22, 2001 George F. Will wrote a political article for News weekly called, “Let Us…? No, Give It A Rest.” In this article Will discusses the history of the Inaugural address and how they reflect the changes our country has made throughout the many years and presidential parties. He identifies numerous differences or changes in the sentence structure and the number of words used, topics discussed, and even the tone that is used by the President’s. He points out first the 43rd president, George W. Bush. The second sentence of his inaugural speech contained 87 words.…

I believe that even though James has shown us some light, Cooper is more realistic. Our president, Donald Trump, has made us so many promises with the limited time he has. It gets you wondering just how many of those promises will he follow through, if any. Trump promised to take care of all of his citizens and will make sure to help us all. Cooper states, “ Trump's budget — copy-pasted from the ultraconservative Heritage Foundation — promises incomprehensible amounts of austerity, so that stinking rich people like Donald Trump might pay less in taxes”. This is the complete opposite of what he said he would do, already breaking one of his many promises. Another promise Trump made was when he said he’ll make an amazing insurance after getting rid of Obamacare. Ryan says, “Congressional Republicans are preparing to repeal ObamaCare, and have no plans whatsoever to replace it with anything even halfway decent. On the contrary, the Heritage budget includes additional savage cuts to Medicare (41 percent) and Medicaid (47 percent) over the next decade. If passed, tens or perhaps hundreds of thousands of people will be killed due to lack of insurance.…

From recent events, I feel as the most important economic policy is the new ObamaCare. Now, I am not going political with this at all but just stating that the government shutdown was all because they could not agree on a budget due to the Obama Care. I feel as this new healthcare has created nothing but turmoil since the initial hearsay of it. We have come together so much as Americans but since Obama has come in office, I feel as Amercians have once again segregated and turned on each other. I am not saying black and white, but in almost every aspect of each other: race, religion, ethinicity, gender, and polictical status. Even our economy has now been greatly hreathened by this turmoil which well all so first hand as the government shutdown for 2 weeks this month.…

It's a political perfect storm: The pairing of a government shutdown with the rollout of a big chunk of the health care law is illustrating all sorts of partisan and cultural tensions that are roiling America. Big government vs. small. The Republican Party's identity crisis. Sharpening political divisions among Americans. And plenty more.…

    1. The President reiterates on September 30ths press conference about the Affordable Care Act. He states that the bill was passed and that “An important part of the Affordable Care Act takes effect tomorrow, no matter what Congress decides to do today. The Affordable Care Act is moving forward. That funding is already in place. You can 't shut it down. This is a law that passed both houses of Congress, a law that bears my signature, a law that the Supreme Court upheld as constitutional, a law that voters chose not to repeal last November” ( Obama, Barack)…

Donald Trump became president. I wonder how I feel about that? I feel that If Bernie Sanders was the representative of the Democratic Party things would have worked out much better. He was much more appealing to the future generation because he wanted to make it easier to get an education. Sanders wanted to make tuition free at public colleges and universities. This action would have made life much easier for those who are or even will struggle in the future to just pay for college, but then not being able to put a 100% into their education, their main goal. “There’s no such thing as free education,” Trump stated, according to the Political Insider. Hillary Clinton agreed with Bernie, but didn’t really act upon it. If Clinton had won,…

In a matter of all things healthcare, there will be some major change. Healthcare is an individual responsibility and should be treated as such. Our administration will increase the healthcare choices and options for all, but it will not be required. We will simplify the system for patients and providers and reduce mandates. This will contain costs on multiple levels. Medicare is too big and too flawed to run its current course. The eligibility age will be increased, and Medicare will be changed from a defined benefit program to a defined contribution program. On the subject of Obamacare, our administration will make it is…

President Barack Obama has been written into the history books for becoming the first African American president of the United States. The president plans on changing history again by bringing universal health care into the United States, which has won him much popularity among Democratic voters. President Obama’s speeches are adored by his fans but raise many red flags for the majority of America. Major concerns Americans have with President Obama’s two proposed health-care bills are that health-care options will no longer be available, the real cost of Obamacare, and small businesses. As many Americans believe Presidents Obama’s health-care plan is what the United States has needed for decades, considering he did get elected, his polices will prove to be a bane for the United States.…

The video is a well demonstration of debt issues that the U.S. government faces. It starts with the tough economic condition that Obama inherited from Bush. Then, it talks about Bush’s centerpiece economic agenda: cut taxes, as well as the way Bush always put politics ahead of economics. After a serious of expenses related to two big wars; two enormous tax cuts; and a variety of new entitlement program signed by Bush had been spent, the economic began to go down. He not only squandered the entire budget surplus he had inherited, but started to confronting a stubborn recession and a steadily escalating budget deficit. Next, the video shows the bitterly partisan fight over Obama’s expensive economic recovery plan. The Republicans worried about if the plan goes well, they will get no credits for anything they have done. So they strongly disagree with this huge amount of recovery expenses. The main issue regarding of this plan is about reform healthcare in order to save money in the long run. However, it is difficult to persuade interest groups and politicians who have been battling over healthcare for a long time. Besides, it is especially tough to talk to Americans about the government are going to spend less on benefits in a recession time. In the end, this video talks about Obama’s budget, and the rigorous debt deficit condition that the U.S. is going through.…
