One place that I will never forget is the ranch my uncle (my grandmother’s brother, in Mexican culture we refer to them as uncles) built and owns. It lays on a thousand acres of land, just outside Toluca, the capital of the state of Mexico. Rancho Feshi, which means “singing waterfall”, is a trout farm. There are many different deep-water, man-made rectangular ponds where thousands of trout are bred for later dining. The ranch is famous for its trout and many people come from all over Mexico either for breakfast on a Sunday morning, or to stay a weekend in one of the many log cabins. I remember being so excited to visit the ranch whenever I went to Mexico, but I also remember the forever-long trip to get there if you didn’t have a car. First it would be the little green Volkswagen Beetle cab to the Metra train station. But we wouldn’t get on a train; instead we would take one of those 70’s-looking vans out of the city. After that long trip in a cramped van, we had to take a windowless green bus to some small, busy town in God knows where, and then finally finish off the trip with yet another little green cab. But it wasn’t over yet. The cab ride was about an hour, give or take. Under normal circumstances it might take maybe two hours, but in Mexico, where there is no paved road, there is no speed limit. Instead, the driver, well-acquainted with the winding, deadly path, would drive his little stick-shift car at about 60 or 70 miles per hour. As many times as I have taken that trip, I am still to this day afraid that something could go terribly wrong and we will hurtle off the steep cliffs. Especially when there is another vehicle on the road, going the opposite way just as fast as we are. But the best part of all is that around turns, the car does not slow down one bit. On the contrary, sometimes it goes a little faster. But as we finally approach our destination, I get excited. But first we have to pass through the guard, who sits in a tiny

One of the most memorable moments I have experienced was four years ago, when I traveled from Matamoros, Tamaulipas to San Antonio, Texas. I had the opportunity of visiting San Antonio for the first time, and more importantly, of spending time with my family who I had not seen in years prior to the trip. Spending time with my family is of great value and importance to me, so I became utterly excited to see them as soon as I had the chance.…

I can still remember the times when I was just a young boy. I grew up in the rural part of town on our family's ranch. Most knew where my family resided, as we set up our establishment and named it the Double G Ranch. Amongst my family, included a vast variety of animals. We had everything from racing horses to bulls and even a mean rooster that startled everyone on the farm except for my mother. Friends and close relatives would often visit to participate in trail rides, social gatherings, and other outdoor activities. My family's ranch became not only everyone else around us the favorite place to hang out, but also a place where I created memories. I can honestly say that my childhood consisted of numerous adventures that fulfilled my enjoyment.…

There once was a time that I went to cabo San Lucas Mexico with my family. The reason that this trip was so special too was because I got to spend a whole week with my grandparents, aunts and uncles and most importantly my parents. When we first got we went to are rooms and put are thing down then went right down to the pool. I can still remember the way the pool look and felt because I got cut on one of the tiles in the pool. One there reasons I liked the pool so much is you could just sit there and watch the sun set. Then the next day I went fishing on the beach that was so cool casting out a fishing line and sitting there waiting with family there beaches are so beautiful and nice like the ones you see in TV commercials. I haven’t even got to the best part they have a little cruise called sunset cruise. You rode on a pirate ship and watch people fight and watch the sun go down. I was a lot like the movie call peter pan. This little cruise was so special because in a hurry and I got locked out of my room I forgot to wear shoes so I was without shoes that whole night. There is one restraints that you have to go to when you are there I mean they have unreal food. They have huge tacos filled with anything you want with beans, rice and a side salad. I can taste it now. I also remember the time I went with my grandparents to the beach after the sun went down with one of my uncles. You have experienced nothing until that happened I mean the sand nice and cold between your toes swimming in the ocean you feel so free and wild. That is why cabo San Lucas Mexico is so special to me. I have a lot of good memories there with my…

The purpose between a narrative and descriptive essay differ from each other because of how you want to convey the story and how to accomplish the purpose. In How to Say Nothing in 500 Words, by Paul McHenry Roberts, the intended audience is for students and writers, and in Once More to the Lake, by E. B. White, it is for readers who had experience with sharing a moment with their loved ones, which both stories accomplish a specific audience.…

In designing this course, the main priority was to enhance the students' critical reading skills needed to trigger the writing of a correctly documented argumentative paper. As such it is vital that students prepare the assigned reading passages prior attending class. The course will also take the students through the journey of developing and improving their skills of reaching a focus of research, selecting and synthesising valid sources, outlining the different sections of the paper and effectively writing an argumentative library and web-based paper in the relevant area. Accordingly, the students are required to hand in the assignments on the due date to guarantee feedback in a week's time. In addition, it will present the students with the academically and ethically accepted techniques of presenting other people’s work by instilling the correct use of documentation to avoid plagiarism.…

In my life, I deal a lot with annoying things, but what I find to be the most frustrating is studying. One fact about studying that makes it the most frustrating is homework. Homework without critical questions doesn't exist in AUS, so when doing my homework, I face a lot of critical questions that cannot be solved and I get stuck on them because they need more thinking and effort than the rest of the questions. After sitting for three hours struggling to find solutions for the problems, I am not able to solve them correctly, which really upsets me. Another problem is doing the homework when there is no time to do it. Because of the well-organized schedule given to me by AUS, I arrive home at 8pm, and, by the time I eat and sleep, it's almost 11pm. Therefore, I am forced to stay awake late to complete my homework. What is even more annoying is seeing my brothers sleeping while I am doing my homework. Another fact about studying is that there is not enough time to study. Sometimes my family gets together three or four times in a week, so I barely have time to study. Also, I can't skip any of the family gatherings because I enjoy going there, especially because I get to see my cousins and talk to them. Moreover, sometimes I need to stay awake late because we might have two to three exams in a day, and each exam needs more than four to five hours of practicing and studying. For instance, for my physics midterm I had to stay awake till 6am to finish all the problems to make sure that I understand all the problems, and so I went to my college without sleeping. Finally, the last and most annoying fact about studying is that I don’t have any free time. No free time means that I never have time to hang out with my friends. Even on the weekends, when my friends go out together and enjoy their time, I have to stay at home and study for my exams and homework. For example, my friends once went to AbuDhabi Ferrari World, which I really wanted…
