If you were to ask someone today what their definition of success is, you might get a much different answer than of someone one hundred years ago, you might even get a completely different response today. The truth is peoples’ aspirations and values are ultimately determines the answers you will receive. For example, some may consider wealth to be success, and for some it could be fame. Regardless of what you define it as, all success stories have three elements in common. These three parts first consist of, first a goal or envision of success, second a plan to reach this success, and lastly but most importantly, the accomplishment of this idea of success. The reason we follow through with these three steps is for the overall happiness and joy they bring upon completion. Therefore, success is happiness and happiness is success.
If success is happiness, we must first figure out what makes us happy. One of the first components that comes to mind when I think of happiness is my friends and family. Without my friends and family, I would have no one to laugh, talk, and have emotional interactions with. Honestly how happy could one be without the warmth and companionship that our peers provide? For some, a job and money may not be their definition of success, however, in order to achieve happiness and success we must have a medium to be happy in. Without our jobs and flow of money all of our standards of life such as our homes, food, and transportation are all thrown out the window. Me personally, I don’t think being homeless and without food is a very happy luxurious way to go about life. Therefore, it is necessary to keep a job and money to act as a foundation to hold up all other aspects of our
