Introduction:
Launched in 1994, MTN Group is a leading emerging markets mobile operator which is at the forefront of the technological changes sweeping the world, all of make investments appreciably in superior devices networks, hooking up a lot more than 8,302 million people in 22 countries across Africa and the Middle East. In the last five years the capital expenditure has exceeded R130 billion in the countries where we operate.

A) - Briefly discuss the current business of the company:
In pursuit of our vision to lead the delivery of a bold, new Digital World to our customers, and our mission to make our customers' lives a whole lot brighter, we leverage the talent of our 25 424 employees to offer innovative products and a quality customer experience. MTN Group Limited’s head office is in Johannesburg, South Africa, where the Group is listed on the exchange operated by the JSE Limited under the share code “MTN”.

MTN has operations in Afghanistan, Benin, Botswana, Cameroon, Ivory Coast , Cyprus, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Republic, Iran, Liberia, Nigeria, Republic of Congo (Congo Brazzaville), Rwanda, South Africa, Sudan, South Sudan, Swaziland, Syria, Uganda, Yemen and Zambia. MTN also has ISP licenses in Namibia and Kenya and a Value
