Baseball Informative Speech
Do you think baseball is athletic? Do you know why its athletic? Well if you believe it's not I will give you various reasons why it is athletic. Personally I believe its athletic but, before I talk about why its athletic let me talk about a little bit of its history. The man who created the sport is Abnir Doubleday. He created the sport in 1839. In 1845 the first rules were created by the baseball club known as the knickerbockers. Even though Abnir Doubleday invented the sport people called Alexander Cartwright the father of baseball.
Baseball is athletic. It might not seem like it is but, it is. In the sport baseball you need to be able to have great stamina because you need it for running, swinging a heavy bat, and really staying focused. You also really need to use your mental strength. You need to know what's going on at all times, know what you are going to do when the ball gets to you, and know all your situations. Focus can get you an advantage …show more content…
Well that's not true because if you played it yourself you would know that we aren't supposed to stand around we always have to be moving. You need to always be moving because if you just stand around other players and people will think you're lazy. You also always need to move because it keeps you going, gets you ready, and focused and being focused is very important in baseball. Baseball always requires a lot of skill. Something not everyone has, for example not a lot of “P.E” teachers don't have the rare baseball skill. So they just hate on baseball players.
So now you know how baseball is athletic. Baseball needs leg strength, arm strength for swinging heavy bats and throwing, you need great focus, and you need great hand eye coordination.
