I went to go talk to my uncle, who is heading into his 60s. He used to play amateur soccer back in Mexico. I asked him what was considered an old player back in his days. He told that around the time a player would hit 25 the coaches would start looking for a replacement. What he said was that when players were considered old they started participating less and less in the team activities. Their skills started to hit a plateau and eventually declining. Some player got injured and got replaces because people thought that they would not be the same player after an injury. The coaches started thinking about the younger players when they began to see this.
In this generation when our players get older they get better and better. With the advancement in technology the training of athletes has evolved. It used to be that coaches would be killing athletes with drills and drills of exercise. Now coaches are using actual science to train their athletes. Making them better regardless of their age. It used to be that people in their late 20s were old players and coaches were focusing on the incoming players more. In the current generations players in their late 20s are in their prime getting better and better all the time. This is because of the advancement in technology, medicine, and training. Coaches used to beat their player almost to death, which lead to injuries that cut careers short. Now coaches are training their athletes smarter which causes less injuries and better performance on the field. In the case, which a player does get injured it is more likely that they will play again and play better than before. To sum this all up people keep getting smarter every day which leads to advancement in every form of knowledge. This causes to produce better athletes in every generation.
